I'm Raizel Shurpin, I'm a freelance 2D animator, but I've also got ten year's worth of experience as a graphic designer and illustrator. I've always been a huge book nerd. Reading is such a big part of who I am that I can't remember a time before I could read and I don't think I'd want to. In college I studied Graphic Design alongside English Literature, because, as a true bibliophile, I love books inside and out. I have a passion for the written word in all its forms and that has led me to experiment with letter forms in my #raizeldesign_parshapost series and with illustrations inspired by melding literature and design in my illustrated poetry passion project over on instagram. Recently, that love of the written word and the stories it tells has morphed into a love for bringing those stories to life through animation.
